Yoga teacher turned into a menstrual cycle coach for ambitious women who know that they are meant for more.
I’m a Finn living in Brisbane, Australia, puppy mum, non-toxic-living advocate and ex-career-ladder-climber who turned her passion into a business.
I WORK TO RAISE STANDARDS IN FEMALE WELLBEING
And I'm starting with the most overlooked thing. Our cycle.
Like anything in life, it has been a journey.
In fact, just a few years ago you could have found me – the most go-getter ex-athlete turned into a career-ladder-climber – studying my ass off for a degree in political science while in parallel chasing new titles to my resume, dealing with regular headaches and irregular periods. I thought I had landed my dream study field and job, but that dream drove me into burnout.
After having spent enough nights awake thinking about what to do, I decided to abandon my hard work in the field that was not my calling anyway. Oh, and move from Finland to Australia for love and after enough meaningless jobs, start my own business.
IN TUNE WITH MY CYCLE
I turned to my yoga practice that I had started back in 2010 and started to study cycle awareness, period-related issues, mind-body connection and different cycle syncing methods. I completed a 350hr yoga teacher training and started to teach regular classes at highly-respected yoga studios in Sydney and Brisbane.
The biggest break-through happened when I overcame my migraines and regulated my cycle in just a few months with a simple, step-by-step system. I synced my business, yoga practice & life with the phases of my cycle and realised how it made a massive difference in my life. Both in business and wellbeing.
And that's when I knew I need to tell this to every woman I would meet from that point onward. So here we are.
I will never stop learning, being curious and making sure that I'm only offering the highest level of information to my own clients.
I'm currently self-studying cycle syncing and hormones every single day and I'm enrolled in Amy Porterfield's Digital Course Academy as of September 2020 to make sure that my students will achieve their results as quickly, simply, naturally and efficiently as possible.
Today, I’m hoping that Pirita Yoga can become a corner of the internet where we can talk honestly about our cycle, our mood swings and the days when our biggest accomplishment is stuffing ourselves with comfort pasta while sitting on the couch in our yoga pants, scrolling our Insta feeds filled with puppies. But also, about our big wins that happen when we tune in.
The thing is, in a world built by men for men, I believe in wellbeing on your own terms. And I believe that living in tune with your cycle is the missing key in taking your life, health abd business to the next level.
