In today's video, I'll share three tips that have helped me overcome PMS.
But first, let's start by defining PMS. PMS stands for premenstrual syndrome and it's the time when women supposedly go crazy and are "way too emotional". But in reality, PMS is an indication of a hormonal imbalance, often caused by stress.
PMS can come with a variety of symptoms, of which some of the most common are mood swings, inability to cope with stress, feeling like you're coming down with a flu, breast tenderness, sugar cravings headaches, depression and the list goes on.
I used to really struggle with PMS because I often felt like I was getting sick and I felt really low before my period. It used to be a time when things that I would normally feel excited about felt really mundane. I would often feel unmotivated to work towards my goals and all I wanted to do was eat carbs.
Luckily, I now know how to take care of my body throughout my cycle to avoid PMS. I know the first signals of PMS and know what to do in order to manage it and prevent it from getting worse. And that has been a game-changer!
So in this video, I'm sharing three simple things to do if you experience PMS and want to overcome it.
